Publisher: Potter Craft
Release: April 15, 2014
Lorena Siminovich, the creative force behind an award-winning handcrafted design company for children and families, shares her inspiring projects for the first time in PETIT COLLAGE: 25 Easy Craft and Decor Projects for a Playful Home.

In this heartwarming craft book, Lorena offers lively ideas for making easy, yet entirely unique items for children—from newborns to school-aged kids—using Petit Collage’s sought-after motifs and whimsical combinations of colors and materials.

PETIT COLLAGE’s projects are both easy to re-create and simple to personalize for unique baby and children’s décor. The book’s fun, imaginative creations range from a portable dollhouse made of paper and personalized baby blocks, to an adorable bunny clock and Petit Collage’s signature name plaque, growth chart, and paper mobiles.

What We Thought:
This is a really great book especially if you have children, or are planning to have children. There are SO many adorable room, decorating, and toy ideas in this book it makes us wanna have kids, like, now. We also liked that it is literally step by step, and includes the patterns for everything that’s in the book. This makes it a lot easier rather than just trying to wing it. We really enjoyed this books emphasis on using recycled/upcycled materials. We think that this is totally awesome and love the results. It’s also nice that she has a section there about all the materials that she uses, and makes it really simple and easy to understand even if you’re not a crafty person. It makes this into an “anyone can do it book”, which we love. Possibly our favorite thing about this book is the design and layout of everything. It’s really top notch. The pages are so creatively laid out, the photographs really great and informative, and every detail seems to be payed attention to, even down to the “thanks page” and text colors. It makes this book really stand out in terms of it’s readability, and makes it just plain fun to read as well. We loved it!
