Summer Grilling Series: The Perfect Grilled Cheeseburger!

So what’s summer grilling season without some fancy cheeseburgers, right? They’re basically the staple of all grilling, and they’re so so good!
Today I’m gonna share with you my recipe for making some flavorful hamburgers on the grill.

First you’re gonna need a few things:
Ground Hamburger
Salt
Pepper
Accent Salt
Cheese(your preference)
Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Sweet Red Bell Pepper Flakes(to save some time we started using the Chicago Steak Seasoning by Weber. It contains all of the things that we normally use its just more convenient)
Butter or Olive Oil
Onion, sliced
Mushrooms, Sliced
Summer Grilling Series: The Perfect Grilled Cheeseburger!
First you want to make your hamburgers by taking pieces of the ground hamburger and flattening them out. Depending on the type of hamburger you purchase, they will shrink some, so make you that you make them a little bigger than what you want your final result to be. After you have these made up, put a little bit of salt, accent, and pepper on them.

Now you’re ready to throw them on the grill! Coat your foil with Butter(or Olive Oil). We premelted our butter and just poured a bit on the burgers as well.

Once they’re on the grill you can then add your spice mixture(Chicago Steak Seasoning or the Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, and Sweet Red Bell Pepper mixture).
Cook for 7 minutes total on each side, flipping intermittently. Make sure they’re done by doing the “squeeze test” or use a meat thermometer.
In the last few minutes of cooking time, add your cheese and let it melt on the burgers.

We also like to slice up some fresh onions and mushrooms and cook them alongside the hamburgers, that way we can have grilled onions & mushrooms to put on our burgers!

Put them on the grill, just add salt, pepper, and accent. Cook until tender.

Once everything’s done, serve!
