Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing with you all my family’s Ham Salad recipe.
It’s a frequent guest at a lot of our picnics and gatherings, as well as just a normal lunch. You can eat it just by itself, but we usually eat it on some sort of bread as a sandwich. Its also really great to put on slider buns (I recommend Kings Hawaiian Rolls) and serve as a finger food.
The best thing about it is that its super easy to make! It usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to make up a large batch, and that’s all.
*excuse the less than high quality photos, I accidentally left my camera at home when I made these -yikes!
Here’s what you need:

6-8 Boiled Eggs -You can boil these ahead of time, or the day before
1lb Eckrich Bologna (You can use another brand, but I highly recommend this one)
1 jar of sweet pickles
The first thing you need to do is grind up your bologna, egg, and pickles. You can do this in the food processor, but my grandma has an actual grinder so we always use that to grind the ingredients. You can also add more or less of something if you want; like add extra sweet pickles if you want more of that taste.
Once everything is ground up, you combine it in a large bowl and mix together. Try to get it as even as possible so that you can get all of the flavors in every bite.
Now its time to add the Miracle Whip! Add in the MW and mix thoroughly until its all even. You can do this kind of to taste, but we use about a whole jar, or pretty close to it.
Once everything’s mixed together, set your bowl in the fridge to chill. Ham Salad is definitely a dish best served cold. Once its nice and chilled, you can serve on sandwiches, with crackers, or just eat some plain.

Pretty simple huh?
Try this out at your next shindig, and it’s sure to be a hit, it sure works in my family!
🙂
We totally want to hear from you guys, and see your go to picnic dishes! So what are some of your go to picnic/finger food recipes?
