It’s sweater weather, and everyone is looking for hot drinks to make with their families. So we wanted to make this twist on the classic apple cider, and add some dulce de leche. Duche de leche has become really popular in the last few years because of its varied texture and flavor as apposed to traditional caramel. It’s also really cheap and easy to work into multiple recipes, which is something that we really love!
Here’s what you need:
1/2 gallon of Apple Cider
3/4 cup of Dulce de Leche
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Tbsp. Whole Cloves
1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
To make your cider, you need to add the Apple Cider, Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves, and Cinnamon to a large pan. Let the mixture start to boil. Once it’s boiling well, add in your Dulce de Leche.
Mix in well until the Dulce de leche dissolves. Let it simmer for a couple of hours. Once it’s nice and simmered you can ladle it out into cups and enjoy!
This is great to make for a holiday party, or just for a night of snuggling! Either way it’s sure to add some yumminess to your day!

Oh that sounds like a great recipe to try. One of my favorite recipes for caramel apple cider uses brown sugar. I bet the dulce de leche gives it a nice creamier texture.
I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit. The door opens for the next party Friday morning! http://alaynascreations.co/blog/

Thanks! We got it from Walmart this year 🙂
This looks so good, who would have thought of it. Is it super sweet? I am wondering. I don’t like drinking sweet just eating sweet if that makes sense.
Yeah it is pretty sweet actually.
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing at My Flagstaff Home!
