Stouffers Lasagna & Pesto Garlic Bread with Tomato Mozzarella Salad Recipe

The holidays are drawing every nearer, and it seems like everyone is in a flurry of holiday baking and cooking for every christmas party, potluck, and family gathering. We know how hard it can be to just find the time and energy to fix your family a really wholesome meal during this busy time.  Thankfully there are a lot of easy meal options when you don’t have the time to make a full meal from scratch, but you still want to have an enjoyable meal with your family.

Stouffers Lasagna & Pesto Garlic Bread with Tomato Mozzarella Salad Recipe

One of our favorite of these options is STOUFFER’S® Lasagna. It’s really great to have on hand in the freezer during the holidays; that way you have an easy meal at hand if you get really busy. All you have to do is pick it up from Walmart, warm the lasagna up in the microwave, or the oven, and that’s all. You have a delicious pan of lasagna that everyone in your family can enjoy, and you didn’t have to work that hard to make it. You definitely don’t have to compromise a good meal because you’re taking care of all of your holiday business. Someone’s gotta make those 12 dozen cookies for the Christmas program!

We love how versatile that making this lasagna is. Because STOUFFER’S® lasagna is so easy to make and prepare, you can spend some extra time making quality sides to go with. For our lasagnas at home we like going with the classic garlic bread & salad combo, but with a twist. So today we’re going to share our super awesome Pesto Garlic Bread & Tomato Mozzarella Salad recipes to go with your STOUFFER’S® lasagna and really make it the most enjoyable holiday meal ever!

Stouffers Lasagna & Pesto Garlic Bread with Tomato Mozzarella Salad Recipe

First you’re going to need a few ingredients:

Pesto Garlic Bread – 
Pesto (you can make your own, or use premade)
French Baguette(you can get a plain one, or an “everything” one like we did)
Fresh Parmesan Cheese shredded
Butter

Tomato Mozzarella Salad –
1 Tbsp. Fresh Basil (you can use the prepackaged tubes, or fresh. We intended on using fresh, but the stores were out of stock. Either one works great)
Mozzarella Cheese, sliced(you can more or less, but we put a small pack in.)
1 pint of Cherry Tomatoes
3 Tbsp. EVOO
Lettuce or Salad Mix of your choice

You want to prepare your garlic bread first since you have to bake it. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While your oven is warming up, you can slice your bread to the serving sizes that you want. After your bread is cut, you can spread on a bit of butter. Then add your pesto. You can add as much or as little as you want. We put a lot on ours because we’re really big fans of the pesto! To top it off, add a bit of parmesan cheese, and stick it in the oven. Let it bake for 15 minutes or until bread gets golden brown.

While you’re waiting for your garlic bread, you can start on your salad. To make your salad, cut up the tomatoes, and mozzarella and put in a medium bowl. Add your basil and olive oil and mix thoroughly. Set aside with your salad mix or chopped lettuce.

Once everything is ready, then just put the mozzarella mix on top of your lettuce and serve with the garlic bread, as a side to your lasagna. We love that these two sides are both classic, and also really easy to make and prepare, especially paired with the convenience of the lasagna itself.
