Hey guys! Hello and welcome to the tenth edition of The Morning Brew – with the BFF’s! If you’re one of our email subscribers (which you totally should be!) then you know that we love sharing our weekly favorites as well as a little bit about what we’ve been up to during the week when we weren’t blogging. It’s a lot of fun for sure! Well, now we’ve decided to expand this by starting a weekly post on Monday morning’s. We’ll be sharing little bits of our weeks, rants and rambles, as well as some of the things that we’re loving. So grab a nice cup o’ Joe (or tea) and chat with us this morning. Feel free to leave a comment, and share about your past week as well. We’d love to hear what everyone’s been up to.
How did you celebrate Memorial Day?
Here are a few of the things that we just couldn’t get enough of this week:
Plants, again! – I finished planting most of my plants last weeks and they’re already getting big! I also got super excited when I saw the lettuce seed plants start to come up so now I can have salad all the time!
This week started with some quality chilling, and gardening, and ended with me working the rest of the week. I was slightly bummed because everyone was talking about their long weekends and how awesome it was gonna be, and I had to work it all. LOL. It was alright though, at least I got some chill time with my cat, Tiger.
Sometimes you need a break to de-stress and enjoy the coffee. Our memorial day was very uneventful. We didn’t even leave the house this year. 🙂
Yup I 100% agree with you Amanda! Same here. I think I left the house though, but I certainly didn’t do a ton.ha
Give me all the sweet corn! I have never had anything like that before, so now I am wicked excited to try it.

Your cat looks a lot like mine though I have a tail-less tabby cat. And those are some really great deals! I love Forever 21.

Thanks for all your summary! Love seeing what you’ve been busy with! Gosh…I feel just like Tiger this past week-end. I tried to catch up on sleep from all the business travel and insomnia I experienced the week prior. But I was able to prep up our patio and garden area too. Getting ready for the summer 🙂

I liked your sales updates! I saw the Old Navy tee, but I wasn’t happy with the word “bikini” on my plus sized shirt. The pineapple one is adorable!

It’s not too late Jill! You could just get some plants that are already started and plant them in pots to keep them low maintenance. 🙂
Oh my gosh I love street corn! I have a friend from Mexico and he made it for me years ago and I’ve been hooked every since! Great post- enjoy the week ladies!

I can totally relate to the smoothie spill! Did the same thing myself about 2 weeks ago, sheesh that stuff is messy to clean up!
Lol nice! It was annoying to clean up for sure, its annoying when things like that happen.
A group of about 20 of us went down to Tennessee on a four wheeling trip. We went to Brimstone which is on 20,000 acres of land and it has 300 miles of trails to ride. Over the weekend, we go to see Cam and Kip Moore in concert!!
All such fun stuff! Love the garden!

You should! Try the discount plant section at your Walmart or Lowes. I’ve gotten some awesome new plants there.
That street corn recipe looks REALLY good. I wish I could cat nap all day outside like Tiger does. If only…

I planted all weekend as well! It was awesome! Of course, I still have plants to put in pots…but at least everything is in the ground 🙂

I can’t grow anything, so hubby deals with the garden and herbs…I am in charge of clean up.
