We recently got the August Degustabox, and it did not disappoint! If you saw our last post where we showed the July Degustabox, you’ll know how much we love it! Every month you get a bunch of food products and snacks to try and cook with, or snack on for only $20, it’s easily one of the best subscription boxes you can get!
In this months box we decided to go outside of the box (hah) and make some fried chicken tenders. Making fried chicken always seems like a intimidating dish to make but it’s really simple. Once you make it a few times it’s super easy to make, and homemade fried chicken is always better. Hannah even made this chicken with her grandma so it’s extra special. 🙂
Here’s what all you’ll need
about 2 cups of White Lily Flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. rotisserie chicken seasoning
2 chicken breasts (cut into strips)
Prepare bowl with flour.
Prepare bowl of egg wash using the beaten eggs and rotisserie chicken seasoning.
Dip each strip into egg wash, then flour to create a coat of breading.
Place in skillet and cook for about 8 minutes(turning halfway through) or until the chicken is tender.
Plate and serve with chipotle mayonnaise or your favorite sauce on the side.
See how easy that was!?! If you know us, we’re all about dishes that are easy and simple to make but still tasty. The chicken came out perfect too, it’s still tender and juicy, but still crispy on the outside so it’s that perfect combination of crunch, and juiciness. We thought the chipotle mayonnaise went really good with the chicken too, it gives it little bit of a good kick to the chicken without being overwhelming.
So that’s it for this month’s Degustabox. We’re really excited to see what they’ll have for next month. And if you haven’t signed up for Degustabox you totally should here so you can get one for September!!
