I always like to use a body scrub on myself on a weekly basis. It feels so good to get all of the dead skin off and have soft smooth skin. I’ve noticed in the last year coffee scrubs have been on the rise, and being the coffee lover I am, I decided to share this DIY coffee scrub I made!
I decided to keep mine super simple by mixing 1/4 a cup of coconut oil and 2-3 tablespoons of coffee. I’ve seen a lot of other DIYs showing they do it with brown sugar or honey or salt. But I don’t like to use salt since it can make my skin dry, and sugar and honey can just make things sticky. Lol
You can add essential oils to make have another scent element, but I honestly love how the coffee smells on its own. When you use it, it’s like you’re taking an amazing shower in a coffee land filled with wonderfulness! Coffee scrubs are also great because the coffee helps with tightening your pores helping to preserve your youth. Some people say it “eliminates cellulite” but there’s no actual proof so I won’t tell you it works. For the most part it helps you to wake up in the morning, and get rid of dead skin while giving you super soft skin.
I personally like to do a deep scrub once a week when I wash my hair and really scrub and get all of the skin off and shave my legs and I feel like a new woman. It’s sort of my “pampering routine”. Lol
We actually made this a couple weeks ago on our Facebook page so here’s a video of me making it too!
That’s all for now! I’m thinking about experimenting, and making other scrubs in the future so keep an eye out. But I hope you enjoyed and will go make some of your own and try it this week!
