Honey BBQ Quinoa Bowl

I love making meals that are more healthy, and use different ingredients that my family loves. So I’ve been really getting into making things with quinoa, like this Honey BBQ Quinoa Bowl I made recently. Quinoa can be a great substitute for pasta or rice, and it has it’s own unique flavor. Combining it with fresh ingredients makes it even better.

Honey BBQ Quinoa Bowl

To create your own BBQ quinoa bowl you’ll need:

3 Chicken breasts
1 cup Quinoa
Corn (tastes best using grilled corn, but off the cob)
Black Beans
Asian Honey BBQ Marinade & Sauce
Avocado

To start, season and cook your chicken, and prepare quinoa according to package instructions. Don’t forget to rinse the quinoa before cooking! For the chicken, cut into strips and season with whatever seasoning you’d like (I used KC BBQ). Cook until completely done. You can add more or less chicken or quinoa depending on how much you want to make. Once your quinoa and chicken are done, assemble in bowl. Add black bean, avocado, and corn. Top with the Honey BBQ Marinade & Sauce. Mix together and enjoy!

This is a great recipe that is really versatile. You can pick your topping a little more based on your own personal tastes and that of your family. Plus it’s something different, healthy, and uses a lot of fresh ingredients, which I’m all for!
