This Wearable Wednesday I decided to get a little more dressed up, okay all I really did was put on a sequenced top and fancier shoes. It’s crazy how I actually look like I’ve got it together and was super comfortable. Something you guys may not know is we always take our pictures on a weekday when we’re able to get together, and we’ll do other blog projects and cooking. So it’s super casual, but it was nice to get more dressed up on a weekday and do some errands and run around town. Ever since I was a teenager I would feel more confident when I would get dressed up, and I still feel the same way as an adult.
When I get “dressed up” these days I will always wear a super comfortable piece of clothing in the outfit. In this one it’s my black leggings, it’s no secret that I love to wear leggings on a daily basis, I think I actually wore leggings everyday that week…and I may or may not keep buying them. Maybe I need to go on Intervention about my legging addiction. :O I kid, I limit myself. But can you blame a girl for wanting to be comfortable and fashionable?
Anyways, in my look I did keep things pretty simple by just having a sequined t-shirt I got a few years ago, black leggings and platform oxfords. I have a slight obsession with these shoes too. They’re super comfortable and give me some height, which I’m not hurting for since I’m 5’9″ to begin with, but it’s nice to get a little boost every once in awhile. And anytime I wear something sparkly it ups my confidence game big time, I feel unstoppable when I’m wearing something sparkly. My big rule of thumb when getting dressed up is to make sure you’re comfortable and make it fun, otherwise you don’t want to get dressed up in the first place. As you do it more and more it becomes easier to put together a fashionable outfit without thinking about it, which is what I do most of the time.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week! And I want to know what is something you do to get motivated to dress up?
